The 12bango Story
In early 2019, a small tech team began researching Bangladesh's online gaming market. Smartphone adoption was growing rapidly, mobile internet was becoming more affordable, and people were increasingly turning to apps and online platforms for entertainment. Yet when it came to online gaming, Bangladeshi players had no choice but to rely on foreign platforms — platforms that didn't speak their language and didn't support the payment methods they knew.
The founders of 12bango made a decision: build a platform designed with Bangladeshi players in mind from the ground up. Not just a translation, but a complete reimagining of the experience for the Bangladeshi context. With that goal in mind, 12bango officially launched in late 2019.
In its first year, 12bango offered only a Sports Betting section, centered primarily on cricket — covering Bangladesh national team matches, the BPL, and the IPL. The response was swift. Players quickly realized they could understand everything in Bangla and receive their winnings directly to bKash after placing a bet. At the time, both of these were rare advantages in the market.
In 2020–21, 12bango added casino and slots sections. A partnership with Evolution Gaming brought world-class Live Casino to Bangladeshi players, while the addition of Pragmatic Play slots significantly expanded the variety of games available.
